My Approach

I mainly treat using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on changing negative thoughts and behaviors by teaching one how to challenge them.

CBT is a form of psychotherapy that uses a collaborative approach. The goal of CBT is to direct the client to identify and change the underlying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that cause their symptoms.

CBT fosters the development of skills that will make it easier to cope with future stressors. Clients learn to adapt to the challenges of everyday life and build self-confidence. Clients have found great success with CBT. CBT reduces negative thinking, promotes healthier relationships and emotion regulation. People with a variety of mental health issues have had favorable results using CBT.
